JENUE.
ENDITURE.
1. The Revenue for the year 1905 amounted to $6,526, 144-09 or inclusive of Land Sales to $6,918,403-85. The Expenditure during the same period was $6,951,275-26.
The Expenditure thus exceeded the Revenue by $32,871-41.
2. The total Revenue of the year amounting as stated above to $6,918,403-85 was $280,207-15 less than the Estimate of $7198,611 but exceeded the Revenue for the
year 1904 by $109,35b-86.
The estimated receipts were not realised under six
Heads of Revenue.
The differences between the amounts estimated and actually received are shown in the accompanying Detailed Statement of Revenue.
The chief decrease is under the Sub-Head "Opium "Monopoly" $180,000 due to the reduction of the Farm Rent.
3. The total Expenditure of $6,951,275-26 was less than the estimate of $7,175,192 by $223,916-74 but exceeded the expenditure for the year 1904 by $575,039-96.
The excesses on the various Heads amounting to $301,340-35 have been duly provided for by Supplementary Appropriation Ordinance No:4 of 1906, with the exception of the sum of $22,928-27 under the Head of Military Expen- diture which was shown as a Liability on 31-12-04.
The accompanying Detailed Statement of Expenditure shows the differences between the amounts estimated and
expended.
